MAJOR EVENTS

FIREWORKS DISPLAY

This year's display, on a dry November 5th. evening attracted a crowd of some 8,000. The display was held within the City at Fenton Park, as it has been for the last 8 years.

The professional fireworks display was, as usual, designed and managed by Merlin Fireworks Ltd., who managed to form £6500 of fireworks into a superb 20 minute display. Additional entertainment was provided by Stanworth's Funfair and the local celebrity Sam Plank.

The 2009 event will be held at the same location on Thursday 5th. November. The gates will open at 6.00 pm. and the display will start at 7.45. Entertainement prior to the firework display will be provided by the Sam Plank Show.

TUNSTALL CARNIVAL

The 2008 event was held at Tunstall Victoria Park on Sunday 27th. July. Good weather and a crowd of some 6,000 resulted in an very enjoyable and successful day. Next year's event will be held on Sunday 26th. July.
